Renovated Villa Kitchen

We know renovating your existing house can be a stressful time. Here at Build Unlimited our aim is to make things as stress free and seamless as possible.  This is why we have developed a 10-step process we use on all our projects.

Our 10 Step Process:

1) Introduction

We believe everything starts with understanding our clients, and their vision. When you get in touch with us, we will call you to discuss your project and see if we are the right fit to craft your dream. Then we will meet with you onsite to go over your ideas and get a better understanding of what is important to you.

2) Preliminary Design

Next we will put you in contact with an architect or designer to create conceptual plans for your project that will align with your budget and vision. If you already have a preferred architect or designer, we can work with them to bring your vision to life.

3) Estimated Build Cost

We will provide you with a detailed estimate for your project based on these designs. However, if you already have plans drawn up, we can also work with these to create an estimate. We will then discuss the cost of each component of the project with you so you have a better understanding of the process.

4) Working Drawings

At this stage we will produce working drawings of your vision. We will then sit down with you and the design team to ensure we are incorporating all your ideas, while maintaining within your budget.  It is important at this stage to go over the finer details of the project: such types of cladding; interior design layout; room sizes; and selecting your desired colours, fixtures and hardware etc. During this stage, we can also discuss ways to make your home more sustainable and energy efficient.

5) Fixed Price Quote

Once you are satisfied with the final design, we will present you with a fixed price quote for your project. This will include the Halo 10-year structural warranty, which greatly helps with securing finance, if required, for your project. We will also present you with a building contract to sign, outlining the scope of work and selected finishes.

6) Renovations

Once you have approved the fixed price quote and we have received a signed copy of the contract we can apply for council consent. Once the consent has being approved, the fun begins! We will finally be able to bring your vision to life.

7) Project Management

We will dedicated a project manager to your renovation. They will organise everything, including sub-contractors, material ordering and delivery, to ensure everything is done correctly to plan. They will keep you informed every step of the way, meaning you can sit back and watch your vision become a reality.

8) Ongoing Client Input

We encourage constant client communication to ensure everyone is on the same page. We will invite you to walk through the space at different stages of the renovation to ensure you are happy with how everything is progressing. These walk throughs are the perfect time to add or change small things, like outlets or fixtures, that are often hard to visualise prior to seeing everything under construction.

9) Completion and Handover

Once your vision has been completed, we will do a walk through with you, going over everything to make sure you are 100% happy with your home. At this stage we will also explain product warranties and maintenance procedures. We will apply for a Code of Compliance for your home, which is the final sign off from Council.

10) Living in your vision

Once we have approval, the space is yours! However, we don’t believe it should stop there, we guarantee your new home to be defect free for 12 months. This means we will come and fix any defects or issues that occur within 12 months of completing your renovation.
